Meet the PRESENTER
Cory Choy
A founding member of Silver Sound, Emmy Award-winning Cory Choy has been pushing the audio limits since 2003. He has crisscrossed the globe with the likes of director and activist Iara Lee, explorer and TV host Richard Wiese, and trouble-and-movie-maker Andrew Wonder as a production sound mixer; he has been supervising sound designer for folks such as indie horror legend Lloyd Kaufman and actor and director Peter Vack, and an adjunct professor of Sound Design at Brooklyn College. Driven by a desire to excel in his craft and a belief that he can always learn more, Cory has never been afraid to go off the beaten path: he was an early adopter of the groundbreaking DAW REAPER from Cockos, has been a proponent of the game-changing Zaxcom Nova, and is constantly searching for and thinking about new and better ways to record, edit, create, and mix sound.

Gustavo Martinez
Gustavo Martínez Contreras is a documentarian, writer and tour guide based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For the last decade, he has managed the Instagram community @whereslupita, in which he documents images of la Virgen de Guadalupe from people living at the margins of "proper religion" but under the cloak of Guadalupe, the Divine Mother who promised unconditional love and forgiveness.
Most recently, he produced the documentary series “¿Dónde Anda Lupita?" for Capital 21, Mexico City public broadcast system. From Palestine to Mexico, the show follows the trails of la Virgen de Guadalupe to tell stories of liberation, colonialism, Queer spirituality and everything in between. The series has been syndicated to other public broadcasters in Mexico and Latin America.
His most recent article for Prism, “Life on Parole,” focuses on the harsh and unjust 1978 drug sentence of Santa Fe muralist Carlos Cervantes. He is an adjunct lecturer at the Film & Digital Arts department at the University of New Mexico. His walking tour takes people through the streets of Santa Fe to meet different public displays of Lupita and the stories behind them.
