LIVE WEBINAR -  WEDNESDAY JULY 29, 4PM PT, 7PM ET, 11PM GMT

Money Talk: What's Your Financial Story?

Money is a thorny topic for many of us. It can bring up feelings of shame and guilt, or require uncomfortable conversations that can leave us feeling undervalued or taken advantage of. In this panel discussion, we’ll engage with the discomfort to better understand what a sustainable, equitable life looks like for us as independents in audio.

Bookended by interactive activities, financial counselors Bethel Habte and Leo Aquino will help us tell our own story of our finances: from the childhood experiences that shaped our understanding of money and our relationship to it today, to the budgeting we do for the sake of financial safety and security.

Through the lens of grief recovery work and the solidarity economy, we’ll start to form our own financial narratives and set our priorities, like: housing, childcare costs, elder care, and of course, the little treats that make our world go ‘round.
