Mia Lobel: Private Session (60 mins)
Session Details
It's wonderful to work with an executive who believes so strongly in centering women's voices in creative work.
About Mia
Mia Lobel is a veteran audio producer, manager, and educator, and the former VP of Content and Production at Pushkin Industries where she oversaw all podcasts including Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History, Laurie Santos’ The Happiness Lab, Michael Lewis’ Against the Rules, and many more. She has been making audio content since 2001 for public radio stations, non-profit organizations, museums, universities, and voice-activated services. She received a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. She has been an adjunct professor at the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY since 2010.
Mia has taught me innumerable skills in terms of the nuts and bolts of producing, but also about how I hold myself in the workplace - to speak up, to share what I know, and to hold true to my values.
- Eloise Lynton (A24)
Mia believed in me and backed me up during a uniquely challenging time... she made me feel supported and seen. She also reminded me not to take things too, too seriously -- her big smile and playfulness was so appreciated.
