Session Details

  • 60 minute mentorship session via phone call
  • Allison has availability 10am - 2pm PT / 1pm - 5pm EST most weekdays. 
Allison loves story editing and can advise on any phase of episode creation. Drawing on her experience creating a successful podcast, she can help you navigate craft aspects of your project including interviewing on personal and tough topics, story-finding, structuring a long-form narrative episode, writing narration. Allison can also provide direction on the  business management aspects side of audio creation, including building and hiring a team and creating a community around a podcast.
She's able to help with pitching your podcast idea including crafting a deck for pitching a podcast and developing a podcast budget. She's excited to work with people at all levels for general career advice on navigating the audio world

About Allison

Allison Behringer is an award-winning narrative audio journalist. She is the creator, host and executive producer of Bodies, a feminist documentary podcast supported by NPR-affiliate KCRW. Allison is also a founding member of the Rough Cut Collective, which provides honest and compassionate feedback for audio stories. In the past, she was a story editor and producer at The Cut podcast and made The Intern podcast. She received her bachelor’s in sociology from Princeton University and attended the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Allison loves all things outdoors and riding her bicycle everywhere she goes.
